Christians looking to be successful in business and finance shouldn’t run far to have the best advice and counsel. The Bible contains instructions that will create any regrets succeed in almost any undertaking, if only we’d follow them.
God knows finance really well
Being effective in business and finance is really part of this Kingdom. We might not have noticed it Jesus often talked of God’s Kingdom using examples involving cash, bosses, servants, investments, and trade. Consider that:
- We read of this parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30. There we read to three men, two of whom left gains of a master who danced a few abilities in amounts.
- At Matthew 13:44 we heard of a guy who found any treasure in a field, hid it, and sold everything he had to buy the area.
- Additionally, we read in Matthew 13:45-46, about the parable of the pearl of fantastic price. Here, a merchant sells everything he had to be able to buy a very valuable pearl.
Jesus also talked of parables which did not include things like cash, but the simple fact that Jesus would talk about Kingdom principles using cash stories must make us think that God really knows finance. In fact, He knows more about it than most of the billionaires of the world combined:
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9)
Nevertheless, why should we Christians want to succeed in operation? Why can not we grow our cash sometimes? James gives us key response:
“You ask and don’t receive, because you ask amiss, that you might invest it on your pleasures” (James 4:3)
God wants to prosper us financially, but if we’ll only spend it on things He doesn’t want, what is the point. We have to keep in mind that God blesses us ultimately for His glory.
How to Be Successful in business and finance
Now that we’ve recognized that God knows finance more than every other, and that we can not need to be a successful Christian company only for our selfish goals, how can we succeed in business and finance? Here is how:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all those things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
As soon as we seek God first in all we do, we are assured that all that we desire will be supplied us.
But why do we need to seek God? Isn’t Sunday enough? Well, to be honest, We Must seek God in all we do, also if we desire to prosper:
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he is going to be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24)
A number of us, however, don’t know what “seeking God” means. Some think it is about being spiritual or spending in the church halls. No, it doesn’t mean. In this issue, it simply means obeying what He says:
“Only be strong and very courageous, that you might observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; don’t switch from it to the perfect hand or to the left, you might prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, so that you might observe to do according to everything that’s written in it. For then you’ll make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Joshua 1:7-8)
Friends, it is that simple. We keep God’s commands. We read the word of God, we meditate on it, and we also make sure that you observe what it says without turning to the left or right to the best. God promises success if we keep his sentence.
